How to Clean Floor Tiles in Showers
- 1). Get the tiles wet. Let the shower run with hot water for a few minutes, this will wet the tiles and create some steam to help loosen dirt and soap scum.
- 2). Sprinkle scouring cleanser on the shower floor and let it sit for a few minutes. As the cleanser absorbs the water it will form a pasty substance that is ideal for cleaning the tiles and grout.
- 3). Brush all the grout with an old toothbrush, this will lift out the dirt from all the tiny spaces on the shower floor.
- 4). Wipe the sponge across all the tiles to lift away the dirt and soap scum.
- 5). Rinse the shower floor with hot water, reclean any spots you missed or that need more attention. Then rinse again.
- 6). Dry the clean and well rinsed tiles with a microfiber towel. This should leave them clean but not necessarily shiny, because even when it is rinsed well the scouring powder can also leave a film.
- 7). To lift away the cleaning film, use white vinegar on the other microfiber towel to buff the tiles. Vinegar will leave them free of streaks and shiny.
