How to Manage Safari"s History on the iPad
Open Your Safari Browser
The Safari Web browser on your iPad keeps a log of Web pages that you have visited in the past.
From time to time you may find it useful to look back through your history in order to revisit a particular site. You may also have the desire to clear this history for privacy purposes. In this tutorial you will learn how to do both of these things.
Please note that the Safari application must be completely shut down prior to clearing any history, cache, cookies, etc. If you are unsure how to do this, visit our How to Kill iPad/iPhone Apps tutorial.
First, open your Safari browser by tapping on the Safari icon, normally located on your iPad Home Screen.
The Bookmarks Button
Your Safari browser window should now be displayed on your iPad. Click on the Bookmarks button, located at the top of the screen.
Select 'History'
The Bookmarks Menu should now be displayed on your iPad screen. Select the choice labeled History, located at the top of the menu.
Your Browsing History
Safari's browsing history should now be displayed on your iPad screen. Notice in the example above that sites visited earlier today, such as About Computing & Technology, are displayed individually. When a specific entry in the iPad's browsing history is selected, the Safari browser immediately takes you to that particular Web page.

If you would like to clear your Safari browsing history completely it can be done in two simple steps.
In the upper right-hand corner of the History menu is an option labeled Clear History. Select this to delete your history records.
