How to Install a Subwoofer on a 2002 Escalade EXT
- 1). Measure the space in the trunk where you would like to position your subwoofer. If you plan on placing it behind the third row of seats, then you want to make sure that it will still fit when you have the trunk closed and the seats up.
- 2). Measure the subwoofer box to make sure it will fit in the space you need.
- 3). Attach the speaker wire to the inside of the terminal cap on the back of the subwoofer box to the back of the subwoofer. Put the subwoofer in its place and secure it with the screws.
- 4). Use the wood glue to attach the Velcro to the bottom of the subwoofer box. Use at least one strip on each side. You should use as much as possible to make sure the box is as secure as possible. Attach corresponding strips of Velcro on the carpet in the trunk using the fabric glue.
- 5). Run speaker wire from your amplifier to the location you're going to mount the subwoofer box. Your route will vary depending on where your amplifier is mounted. You can run the wire under the edge of the carpet and plastic trim by using the screwdriver to tease up the edges and sliding the wire underneath.
- 6). Attach the speaker wire to the terminal cap on the back of the subwoofer box. Put the subwoofer box in place on the Velcro.
