Most of the people believe that antidepressant drugs can "fix" their mood better than any other forms of therapy.
This could happen because we live in a society where there is a pill for almost everything and these pills can fix anything! And they are also really cheap and are working quickly too.
But, there are some mistakes that patient who take antidepressant drugs make: The first one is that they do not take the medicines long enough in order to achieve the desired benefit.
Usually, a patient can notice an improvement in his mood after four weeks, and after six months he can obtain the results he hopes for.
Patients usually take the medicines for a short while, and if they cannot see any improvement they do not take them anymore! There are also patients who, as soon as they feel better, they do not take the pills anymore.
This is why they usually go back to their previous state of mind, and they cannot notice any improvement when it comes to their mental - health.
There are a few things that people should know about antidepressants - all medicines has side effects and this is why, before taking any antidepressants we should see a doctor.
