How to Find Out If a Plane Has Landed

    Google

    • 1). Use the Airtimetable Airlines Code webpage to find the plane's 2-letter Airline or IATA code (see References). Enter the plane's airline name in the "Airline Name" field and click the "Submit" button. The web page returns an IATA code and other information about the airline.

    • 2). Enter the plane's two-letter Airline or IATA code followed by the plane's flight number in the Google search bar or Google website in your web browser. For example, if United Airlines owns the plane and the flight number is 123, enter "UA123" in the search bar or box on the webpage. Press the "Enter" key or click the "Google Search" button.

    • 3). View the plane's flight status information in Google's search results page. The first results show the plane's status or provide links to click to find the plane's status. If the plane has landed, the status shows an "Arrived" message, including the time the plane landed.

    FlightStats

    • 1). Access the FlightStats website (see References).

    • 2). Enter the plane's airline name (select it from the pull-down menu if there is more than one choice) or two-letter Airline or IATA code in the "Airline" field in the "Flight Status" section of the web page. Enter the plane's flight number in the "Flight" field. Change the "Departure Date" field if the plane's flight date is not today's date. Click the "Search" button.

    • 3). View the plane's flight status information on the search results page. The status shows an "Arrived" message, including the time the plane landed, if the plane has landed. It shows a scheduled arrival time if the plane has not landed.

    Google SMS

    • 1). Use the Airtimetable Airlines Code webpage when you are using a computer or your mobile phone's web browser to find the plane's two-letter Airline or IATA code (see References). Enter the plane's airline name in the "Airline Name" field and click the "Submit" button. The webpage returns an IATA code and other information about the airline.

    • 2). Create a Short Message Service (SMS) text message on your mobile phone. Include the plane's IATA code and flight number in the message (UA123 for example).

    • 3). Send the SMS message to 466453.

    • 4). View the SMS text returned by Google SMS to your phone. The text contains the flight's status.
