Though training and more training is the key to body building, food also plays an important role.
No matter how hard you try to lift weights, if you have an improper diet then you're just wasting your time.
A car needs gasoline for it to run.
In like manner, you also need a good selection of foods to help you develop your proper shape.
Bodybuilders always suggest foods that are rich in protein.
To dig deeper in these good supplemental foods, let's talk about them.
First off, eat fruits.
Even when you were young, they always encourage us to eat more fruits.
So what kind of fruits is good in body building? Let me see what we have in the list.
Well there are apples, avocados, bananas, grapes, kiwi, peaches, berries, oranges, grapefruit, etc.
As you can see there are so many to choose from.
Just eat plenty of those.
Vegetables are also an important part of our body.
And again here are some lists of good veggies that can help you enhance your bodybuilding - asparagus, artichokes, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, carrots, celery, corn, eggplant, peas, lettuce, cabbage, spinach, potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc.
It's also good to take in condiments such as honey, horseradish, salsa, vinegar, mustard, and non fat mayonnaise.
You can also have dairy products and eggs.
Just be sure to choose low-fat and non fat only.
Eggs are actually not low-fat but you can use the whites only for non-fat protein.
Breads, cereals, staple foods, and even can goods are also good.
Having pasta and sauce, meats, fish and frozen foods can also be added to the list.
For most of the serious bodybuilders, they buy supplements such as protein powder, amino acids, nutrition bars and others.
There are really many foods we can include in the list, but the bottom line is, you must have a variety of nutrients to help you boost your body's shape.
Aside from that, it also gives you a healthy system.
All you have to do is balance your diet.
Just don't eat to less and don't eat too much, balance it out.
There are some who exercise a lot in the morning but as soon as they go home, they eat more than they burned and there exercise was done for nothing.
You must also discipline yourself when it comes to drinking alcohol.
A night out with alcohol just diminishes your three days work out.
Therefore, work out continuously, eat the proper food, you might need to take in some supplements, avoid drinking alcohol, and have a proper discipline.
