Dried squid, in the Korean olden times, used to be a snack people could chew on while they were busy with work or attending school.
Now, it is a very familiar side dish among Korean lunches.
But besides the regular dried squid, people have come up with different ways to enjoy it, one of them noticeably by adding a bit of spice and frying it to make Stir Fried Dried Squid.
Here's how to make this dish.
The ingredients that you will need are: a package of dried squid strips(these are easily found in any asian store and one package will be enough for seven people), vegetable oil, Korean chili pepper paste, soy sauce, honey, garlic, a little bit of water (usually not necessary).
There are pretty much no preparations for this dish as all the ingredients were already prepared in the packaging, so we are just going to go directly into how to make this dish.
Open the package of dried squid strips, and put them in water to soak for about ten minutes (this is only necessary if the squid strips are too hard).
Once the squid has been soaking, drain out the excess water and leave the squid strips aside for now.
Now it's time to prepare the sauce.
Mix all the ingredients but the squid and the vegetable oil in a bowl until it's uniform.
Now, get a pan and put the flame on medium high and put some vegetable oil on it so that the squid won't burn.
While the pan is heating, mix the sauce and the squid strips together and then add them to the pan.
Continuously stir the mixture until all the strips are covered in sauce and some leftover sauce has disappeared.
That's the end of cooking the Stir Fried Dried Squid.
