Dear Newly Married John and Jane,

John and Jane, the need for love, unity, co-operation, patience, peace, the spirit of give-and-take, hard work, forgiveness and genuine sacrifice (devoid of complaints) between both of you husband and wife can never be over-emphasized in any endeavor especially in your sacred and blessed marriage relationship.

John and Jane, at this point, we cannot resist the urge to draw attention to and inspiration from a graphic description of what love involves. Whether we say we are theists (believers in God), agnostics (those who are not sure whether there is God or not) or outright atheists (those who believe there is no God), we are not capable of resisting the temptation to quote and benefit from a most beautiful passage of the inspired Bible which gives us the way to sacrifice, love and be loved. The immense benefit of this passage is huge to say the least.

Concerning Love, this apparently illusive, non-physical but at the same time very concrete quantity and virtue that is always felt, the Bible lovingly enjoins us and screams "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs". (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). Both of you will do very well as husband and wife, if you read this inspired wonderful love message, passage and inspiration from the Bible in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 at least once a day and apply what it says in your daily living. You are assured that the best thing in this most beautiful passage is that love cannot fail if applied correctly.

If any relationship especially marriage wobbles, the reason is that the people concerned have not followed the injunction to sacrifice and love above to a reasonable extent. For those who are divorced, those in problematic or troublesome marriages or relationship, and all those who want their ex back, this is the secret, the clue, the relationship tip or trick to grab and run away with. This is how to win your ex, love partner, husband or wife back and resume your relationship on a sound footing.

John and Jane, if both of you devotedly follow this sound biblical principle from the inspired word of God to the best of your ability, you will achieve a near perfect marriage relationship for other couples to emulate. This is how to love. It is how to be a good man, a good husband and a good father. It is also how to be a good woman. It is how to be a good wife. It is how to be a good mother.

John and Jane, keep in mind that love is blind. It can go to or favor anybody any time. Anybody no matter how highly or how lowly placed can always perform an act of love anywhere, any how and at any time. No act of love is too small or too big to perform or to benefit anybody. Never think you can not perform an act of love towards someone. There is always an act of love to perform towards someone. If you there is none, pray for the person.

No wonder that special genuine female cup of God's love, that physically small but spiritually God's giantess, that mother of modern practical Christianity, that special messenger of God's love, that God's special meteor which recently flashed past our sick, sulking and limping earth in pains, Mother Teresa wrote in her book titled "Life in the Spirit" that "Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of everyone. Anyone may gather it and no limit is set".

Indeed, no act of love is too small or too big to perform and anyone can perform an act of love at any time, place and condition. Each act of love unites people much more. John and Jane, you may wish to benefit from this apparently inspired redefined definition of love from Mother Teresa, the mother of modern practical Christianity. In teaming up to perform any act of love towards others, you also benefit by helping others and loving yourselves much more.

Everyone is spiritually called to perform an act of love today. Do not say you do not know or have no act of love to favor someone. If you think you have none to perform, then you may be as wrong as you think you are right. Praying for people and the world in trouble is a great act of love, Pray for someone and the world is serious trouble of cosmocide today.

One sage and local Socrates who taught us in school put the same injunction to love and sacrifice above in a different perspective. He said that where two (or more people) live well and peacefully too, one of them must be a fool or pretend to be a fool at a particular time for their love, co-operation, peace and progress to continue and last long.

Was he trying to disrespect anyone or call anyone a fool? By no means! He was only trying to emphasize the need for mutual love, sacrifice and the need to ignore certain things at certain times to ensure love, peace and stability in any human setting or environment.

If it is the turn of Jane to sacrifice and even ignore certain things in the interest of love and peace and she does it well without minding, both enjoy the love, peace and relationship. But when it becomes the turn of John to sacrifice and ignore certain things too for the same reasons, only for him to refuse and to start becoming wiser than he should or to call his partner a fool, it is then that troubles brew, sprout and afflict everyone to the detriment of all and sundry. It leads to bitterness, acrimony, bad blood, outright hatred, war and collapse.

John and Jane, both of you must have in your joint life marital toolbox the virtues of patience, humility, sacrifice, forgiveness, peace and understanding. Imbibe good and sound virtues always in your dealing with yourselves and others.

John and Jane, may it be well with both of you as husband and wife for the betterment of mankind. May you increase and multiply and fill the earth with great blessings!

John and Jane; God bless both of you.
