How to Uninstall & Remove Super Codecs

    • 1). Turn on the infected Windows XP computer and wait for it to fully boot. Enter your password to log in.

    • 2). Press Control, Alt, Delete simultaneously. Be sure to hold them down for only a second and no longer. You should now see a box pop up on your screen.

    • 3). Click on the Processes tab on the box and find the process called "Super Codecs." Click on those words.

    • 4). Hit the end process button located on the bottom right side of the box. You have now stopped Super Codecs from actively running so you can uninstall the program and remove the files.

    • 5). Click "Start" on the lower-left of your Desktop. Double-click "My Computer."

    • 6). Find the new window that opened on your desktop and double-click the icon of a disk drive that says C:

    • 7). Find the new window that opened on your desktop and double-click the folder entitled "Program Files."

    • 8). Locate the folder called Super Codecs and right-click upon it. Select "Delete." You have now uninstalled the Super Codecs Trojan virus.

    • 9). Close all your open windows by clicking on the red X on the upper right-hand corner of each window.

      Click on the garbage can icon on your desktop and empty your trash can.
