3 Strong Reasons You Should Become a Blogger

103 7
Many people have been (and are still) making money online without having a blog.
Stories of such people abound on the Internet.
And most such stories are true.
So, blogging isn't necessarily a criterion for online business success.
But having a blog will boost your chances of success because it's like a platform for any online business.
I've never heard anyone claim that setting up a blog reduced his or her online income.
Rather, a blog boosts your potential to earn more money online (it might take time, though).
And that explains why you should start out with a blog by the side.
Aside keeping you fulfilled for sharing your knowledge and experience with other people, blogging is necessary for some other reasons.
And these reasons drive home the point that blogs can boost your income.
Here are three reasons why blogging is necessary for any online business you might be into: 1.
You'll attract more and more potential customers
A blog is the online version of a showroom, which helps you display the value you have to offer to people who might be interested in it.
If you're a freelancer, your blog is your portfolio.
If you're an affiliate marketer or information marketer, your blog is your catalog.
Even if you just want to put your words online, so people can read it, a blog can help you achieve this, too.
So, a blog can serve to promote any online (or offline) business.
A netpreneur without a blog is like a marketer without a catalog; there's no way he can attract customers by osmosis.
But by running a blog, you can attract tons of potential customers by osmosis.
And they'll be willing to take actions that will add more cash to your pocket, even if you don't expressly ask for that.
(And remember, the more traffic you attract, the more money you'll make.
) 2.
A blog boosts your credibility
For example, I'm a freelance blogger.
And the truth is, I started generating more profits after I launched a blog for my freelance business before more clients found me and did business with me.
The reason goes without saying; I made more money simply because the blog boosted my credibility, made clients trust me and my skills the more, and portrayed me as an expert writer.
If you're selling other people's products or services as an affiliate, offering quality content (through blogging) will make visitors trust your recommendations and buy what you're promoting.
If you're selling information products (eBooks, etc.
), you can make more money by running a blog that clearly spells out the benefits buyers stand to enjoy by buying your product.
So, having a blog will make you even more money than you will make (or may already be making) from freelancing, information marketing, affiliate marketing, or whatever online business you're into.
3.
Blogging rakes in profits from different channels
Irrespective of which online business you're using your blog to promote, you can make money from the same blog through additional channels, such as sponsored reviews, sales of ad space, affiliate marketing, contextual ads, and so on.
Because you can monetize a single blog in many ways, you'll continue to make money from it through other channels if your primary income channel crumbles unexpectedly.
(But bear in mind that building a blog that makes money from multiple channels isn't a task that can be completed overnight.
) Bottom line If you're of the mindset that you can make money online - or you're making the money already - without your own website or blog, that's cool.
But if you want to really boost your income and shorten your journey to success in online business, I strongly recommend you get a blog.
