A blog post is indeed an integral part of your blog because it is a page toward which you are trying to get the attention of visitors.
Therefore, you need to pay full attention on the optimization of your blog post.
There are many webmasters who are already using some ways for post optimization but still there are some who are paying little or no attention to this aspect.
There is no benefit of social bookmarking, forum posting or blog commenting when you are not optimizing each post in a careful manner.
You will get more traffic on optimized post than on non-optimized one.
The results of blog post optimization will surely be noticed by you in a short time.
Now I will tell you how to optimize a Blog Post through five simple steps: Step No: 1 Add keyword in Title: Title of your post must include the main keyword or if possible for you start title with the keyword.
Some people use a title which has no keyword in it and undoubtedly such title will be useless.
If you want to grab the attention of visitor toward your post then insert a keyword in a "natural way"; well I am emphasizing on natural way because there is no need to add keyword in a place where it brings no meaning for the visitors.
Step No.
2
Add Keywords in Body: I know many of you are already following this step but here I will give an important tip.
If you want to target a keyword which has high competition then I suggest you to don't waste your time.
Just use your keyword tool, highlight a low competition keyword and then insert this keyword into post's body.
I am not saying that it is impossible to get attention of reader toward high competition keyword but my intention is to direct your efforts toward the right destination.
For getting high visitors toward a high competition keyword, you need a lot of content with such keyword.
On the other hand, you can easily bring more visitors to a low competition keyword.
Step No.
3
Maintain an Appropriate Keyword Density: Whether you are using a high or low competition keyword, you must keep one thing in mind don't insert too much keyword into the body.
Just target three to five keywords.
Now next question is how many times you have to repeat a keyword.
If you want to get an idea how many keywords you need to add into the body then just go for 2%.
I know many article writers have an idea about keyword density but in case you haven't any information or you are a newbie then for your information, you have to apply keyword density percentage on the word count of the body content.
For example, word count of the content are 500 then 500 multiply by 2 percent and you will get a result 10 times.
That's mean you can repeat one keyword 10 times into the blog post or when you want to use two keyword then repeat each keyword five times.
Step No.
4
Add keyword into Image File: You must add a relevant image into blog post because image enhances the understanding of content for a reader.
When you insert image then you normally don't care about file name while it is another part on which you need to pay attention.
Don't save the file as 01121.
jpg, give it a name.
For example, if your post is about a Nokia Windows Phone then you need to add the name of this handset as the file name.
Next thing to add is to insert the keyword into the alt text space of the image file.
When you follow this step then whenever people search on Google image with the keyword then this image file will be come into results and thereby people will come and visit your site.
Step No.
5
Add Keyword in the Tags: Last but not the least; you should need to add keyword in the tags of your blog post.
Some people don't add tags which these are quite important as Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines give more importance to a post with tag than a post without tag.
Tags gives search engine an understanding of subject matter of the post and therefore you must have to add keywords into tags.
Now again I have a tip for you don't add more than 7 tags into your post.
Try to add only relevant tag or the most important keywords.
When you will follow these five simple steps then without any doubt your post will be well optimized for the search engine and thereby traffic on your website will be boosted up.
