Are you one of the many women who believe old wives tales on cellulite? Here are a few common misconceptions about cellulite that you should know.
More water means less cellulite? Not true.
Normal person should consume at least 8 cups of water per day.
Drinking more water has not scientifically proven to reduce cellulite.
It just helps you to detoxify your body system slightly more than usual.
Beware of over-drinking water as it may bloat up your stomach and result in puffy eyes instead.
The fitter you are, the more cellulite stays away? It depends on how you define fit.
There are some of us who has less body fats that others.
A fit person may have a higher fat content as they eats more to make up for his/her high activity each day.
They may concentrate their training on specific areas of the their upper body and thus, cellulite can still appears in their thighs.
Only women are curse with cellulite Men can have it as well.
Research has shown than a small proportion of males have low hormone androgen.
This has result in males seeking treatment for it.
However, in comparison against women, the rate of males with cellulite is smaller in numbers, not that they won't get it.
Junk food is the cause of your cellulite.
No food scientist is able to determine that particular food can make cellulite appear in your body.
That goes for junk food as well.
Having say that, junk food tends to be laden with heavy calories and adds to your body fat content, which can easily spill over to hard to remove fats in your body like the thigh area.
So beware, the next time you decide to open up that favorite salty potato chip of yours.
Well, the above are just myths that you should dispel if you really want to get rid of your unsightly body cellulite.
