Blogging as a Form Of Market Research Part II

Apart from this, using blogs as a way of knowing what your subscribers want is done by posting mini versions of marketing research that are being done by big businesses and booming corporations.
You have a great amount of space on your blog for anything and everything - use it! Create surveys and allow people to comment on your ideas.
Take note of what they say and let it be an indicator of their acceptance or non-acceptance of a certain kind of product or service.
Everyday (or several times a week), post interesting questions on your blog for people o react to.
For example, you wish to set up an online perfume store but are undecided on the types of perfume that are in demand with the market.
Your discussion question can be: What Kind of Scent Do You Want on Your Man and Why".
By asking an open-ended question, you will not only know the kinds of perfumes that are preferred by women for men, but also know the different reasons behind their choices.
From this information, you can also easily design a marketing strategy to promote your perfume! One more strategy for finding out what your subscribers want to buy is to present them with two choices and allow them to debate on the pros and cons of both.
While the previous suggestion is definitely of the open-ended variety, doing this one already indicates that you have done part of your market research and have narrowed your product or service choices to two.
This time, you will rely on number as the main decision-making element between two good products to determine which one will be more accepted by the audience.
By allowing the audience to discuss the merits of both and ultimately coming to a decision between the two, you will not only know which product or service to launch but you will also know how to highlight the products so the market will listen up, process your explanation, and affirm your statements.
It only goes to show that finding out what the market wants does not necessitate a budget that equals that of bigger companies.
Through dedication, hard work, a strong sense of strategy -plus a blog, of course - you will be able to know what your market is really interested in having.
