How to Draw an Octagon & Triangle in a Square
- 1). Draw a large square.
- 2). Draw diagonal lines from the sides of the square turning the corners into right triangles. Leave space on the sides of the square between the start and end of the diagonal lines. The diagonal lines should also be the same length as the space left on the sides.
- 3). Draw diagonal lines from the center of the top line of the square down to the bottom corners of the squares.
- 4). Outline all of the lines in black ink; let the ink dry then erase any remaining pencil lines.
- 1). Draw a circle. Draw a horizontal and vertical line cutting the circle into quarters.
- 2). Draw a short horizontal line on top of the circle and centered on the vertical center line. Repeat this on the bottom of the circle as well as the right and left sides. The length of all four lines should be the same.
- 3). Connect the ends of the short vertical and horizontal lines with short diagonal lines of the same length.
- 4). Draw an acute triangle inside of the circle around the center point made by the horizontal and vertical center lines. Erase the circle and the horizontal and vertical center lines.
- 5). Draw a square around the octagon.
