How to Make Homemade Salt Stain Remover
- 1). Mix equal parts warm water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Though vinegar as a household cleaner may seem off-putting, rest assured that the odor evaporates as the liquid dries.
- 2). Spray the solution on the stained fabric or carpet. If you are using this solution on nice leather shoes, you may want to do a spot check on the interior of a lip or other discreet spot.
- 3). Use cotton balls to dab at stains on shoes until they have disappeared. For carpet, soak up the solution with a cloth or rag.
- 4). Add a little more vinegar to your solution to make a stronger stain remover if the stain does not come off completely. Repeat Step 3.
