How to Edit a Cell in Microsoft Excel
- 1). Open the spreadsheet in Excel.
- 2). Click the "Review" tab.
- 3). Click "Unprotect Sheet" in the "Changes" group.
- 4). Type the password and click "OK."
- 1). Open your spreadsheet in Excel.
- 2). Double-click the cell you want to edit. If you only single-click the cell, or highlight it with your arrow keys, then you will erase the contents when you begin typing. Alternatively, you can single-click the cell and click the top function bar that displays the cell's contents.
- 3). Edit the cell contents, just as you would during creation.
- 4). Press "OK" to accept your changes.
