Desert Greenscapes has been awarded the contract to design and install a 'Nostalgic Old Vegas' themed putting green at the new music venue aptly called The Swingers Club, located in the newly remodeled Plaza Hotel and Casino Down Town Las Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience.  The Plaza Casino recently underwent a $35 million renovation including all new interior, new restaurants and bars and all new gaming machines.

The Swingers Club retro decor was conceived by longtime Las Vegas entertainer and entrepreneur Anthony Cools, and includes life sized Elvis', Welcome To Las Vegas neon signs, suite of armor, flying airplanes, dulling matched pianos and even a haunted escalator shaft. The Swingers Club brings back that Old Vegas feel of the Dunes and Sahara Casinos when Elvis, Frank and the Boys were in town.

The unique putting green was designed by Donald Moore, landscape designer with Desert Greenscapes Water Wise Landscaping of Las Vegas Nevada. The putting course includes an action backed hybrid Bermuda putting green with a lush natural looking Tall Fescue fringe grass.  The entire putting course is bordered with a Pavestone 'Natural Impressions' retaining wall system and decorative top cap.

"Swingers Club will be unlike anything else in Las Vegas," said Cools, managing partner of Freeflow LLC which owns and manages the Swingers Club. "This isn't an ultra club with high priced bottle service. Our goal was to create an inviting atmosphere where people can relax and just have fun. They can enjoy the live music of dueling pianos or leading stage acts, socialize with friends over drinks, and maybe meet someone new over a few holes of mini golf. I'm confident that the unique concept of the Swingers Club will complement the fun vibe of downtown and make it a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike."

Live music, dulling pianos and the cutest and friendly bartenders on Fremont Street are featured daily at the Swingers Club Lounge.  The Swingers Club is located on the first floor of the Plaza Hotel and Casino on Main Street at the top of the Fremont Street Experience.

Shane Young, co-owner of the Swingers Club says " Our new club with live and DJ music, dulling pianos and an indoor golf putting course will be the hottest new attraction in the down town Las Vegas area".

The bar will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 a.m. seven nights a week to customers 21 years of age or older. Live music acts will play from 7 to 9 p.m., and the dueling pianos players will follow, entertaining customers from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Late night, a DJ will spin music for glow-in-the-dark disco golf from 2 a.m. until 4 a.m.

Also opening this month at the Plaza Hotel and Casino is Oscar "the Happiest Mayor on Earth" Goodman's  new Steak House located in the impressive glass dome overlooking the glittering lights of the Fremont Street Experience. Former Las Vegas Mayer Oscar Goodman said "Many people may remember that I once called for the Plaza to be torn down," Goodman said, "But the much-needed investment by its committed owners has transformed it into the coolest place in Vegas.  'Hiz Honor's' new steak house will feature memorabilia from his many years as a Las Vegas mob lawyer and nostalgic photos of Vegas over the years.

The grand opening for both the Plaza Hotel and Casino and The Swingers Club is September 1st, 2011.
