Overview and Composition

• Only high-quality natural fibers go into UltraTouch cotton insulation, as these absorb sound and block temperature transference very effectively while still being chemical free and environmentally friendly. The product contains 85 percent post-industrial recycled natural fibers, including old denim and other cotton fabrics. Unlike other insulation, it does not contain formaldehyde or other chemical irritants, which makes it greener and safer to work with than traditional products.
  
  

Safety

• UltraTouch Cotton Insulation does not contain any potentially harmful chemicals. Therefore it does not require warning labels, and you do not need to wear a mask, gloves, or other protective clothing when working with the product. It will not cause itching or irritation to the skin.
  
  However, it is still fire-retardant and resistant to smoke, corrosion and fungal growth, and has passed the most stringent of ASTM International's (formerly the American Society for Testing and Materials) testing standards.
  
  

Health

• UltraTouch insulation does not contain harmful airborne particulates, so it does not illicit the same health concerns regarding particulates in the surrounding environment as other insulations. The product's fungal inhibitor actively resists mold, fungi and bacteria, which can grow in insulation and also release irritating spores into the air. UltraTouch has also passed the Environmental Specification 1350 Indoor Air Pollutant testing, the California Public Schools' strict standard.
  
  

Environment

• UltraTouch is good for the environment because it uses recycled materials. This keeps more waste out of landfills and does not require the use of all new material. The product itself is also recyclable, so that when it is no longer needed, it too can avoid adding to landfills.
  
  The manufacturing process is less intensive than other insulations, which reduces energy consumption, and the lack of chemicals in the product means there is less pollution. Because it is such an Earth-friendly building material, homeowners can often get tax breaks or other financial incentives when they use the product.
  
  

Comfort

• UltraTouch is just as effective as other traditional forms of insulation. The product is made with Bonded Logic's proprietary technology, a 3-D infrastructure that traps, isolates and controls sound. This keeps outside noises, from traffic and airplanes, out of a house, while also blocking radios, televisions, and conversations from room to room. Unlike fiberglass insulation, UltraTouch does not decrease in effectiveness in colder temperatures.
