How to Configure a 3D Sound X-Fi Control Panel

    • 1). Close down any audio programs you currently have open. Access the "Start" menu and click "Programs." Select the Sound Blast Audio Console Control Panel.

    • 2). Click "Mode Switcher." Click the "Game Mode" option if you will be playing a computer game. Click "Entertainment Mode" if you will be listening to audio files or watching a video.

    • 3). Click "OK" to save your change and access the "Settings" menu. Click the "Speakers" option at the lower-left end of the window.

    • 4). Select the drop-down menu and choose the type of speaker setup you have, such as "7.1 surround" if you have seven speakers and a subwoofer.

    • 5). Click the "CMS-3D" button at the top-left end of the window. Click the slider icon and drag it to the center of the slide bar if you want surround sound to be distributed equally between the speakers. Drag the bar to the top or bottom to change the distribution of sound between the front and back speakers.

    • 6). Click the "Master Volume" knob at the right side of the window. Drag the volume knob up or down to change the volume on your computer.

    • 7). Click the headphone icon underneath the volume knob if you will be listening to sound through a pair of headphones. Click the "X" button to save your changes and exit the Sound Blast Audio Console Control Panel.
