How to Back a Prequilted Cross Stitch Baby Quilt
- 1). Finish all cross-stitching. Once you apply the backing you will not be able to add more stitching.
- 2). Cut your backing fabric to size. You want it to be large enough to entirely cover the back with about a 1/2 inch extra around all edges.
- 3). Pin down the fabric with its back against the back of the quilt, folding the edges under.
- 4). Sew the edges down, removing the pins as you work. As most quilts will have pre-finished edges, try to run your stitches over those existing stitches.
