Funky Hairstyles for Bridesmaids

    Bob

    • A short bob hairstyle is charming and appropriate for most weddings. For bridesmaids with short hair, make it funky by flipping out the layers and the bottom, and making it anything but smooth. Use hair wax to create texture and twists in the hair. For a stylish touch, clip a large silk flower to the side of the hair. Another option is to add a sequined headband or hair clip.

    Knot

    • Another funky bridesmaid look is loosely knotted hair embellished with rhinestone and decorative clips. This style works best on hair that is at least two or three inches longer than shoulder length. The hair should be knotted loosely at the nape of the neck and secured with the sparkling clips. Allow strands of hair to fall around the face and curl them if they aren't already curly. For a really funky look, accessorize with a feathered headband.

    Half Updo

    • A curly, half updo is unexpected and funky for a bridesmaid. It works best on hair that is shoulder length or longer. Create volume by using a curling iron or hot rollers all over the hair. Once it has cooled, sweep up the top half of the hair and secure it with a sparkly clip. Add random curls throughout the hair using a curling iron. Place hair crystals throughout the body of the hair for added glam.

    Braid

    • Style a funky braided style with ribbon. Start a single braid on one side of the head, braiding it across the top of the head to the other side. Weave a cream or white ribbon into the braid for a sophisticated look. The rest of the hair can be swept into a low ponytail.
