MBA Programs in Illinois

Several universities in Illinois offer graduate programs in business administration, and three of those programs are considered to be among the best in the country. Rankings by U.S. News & World Report and Business Week both place the programs at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago in the top 10 nationally. The other highly regarded program is the one at the University of Illinois. - Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management is a top-five business school. Northwestern, a private school founded in 1908, has its main campus located in Evanston, which adjoins Chicago. The university also has a campus on downtown Chicago's lakefront for part-time students. Students can earn an MBA by enrolling full-time or part-time. The school also offers an executive MBA program with a campus in Coral Gables, Florida. The Kellogg School began offering doctoral degrees in business administration in 1927. The 2009-10 tuition was $49,074 per year. The school enrolls 1,241 full-time MBA students, 1,100 part-time students and 130 doctoral students.

The university, founded in 1898, is located on a Gothic-style campus in Hyde Park on Chicago's south side. The university is world-renowned for its research productivity, and six of its faculty members are Nobel Prize winners. The school offers full-time and part-time programs and has the oldest Ph.D. program in business administration. The school's downtown campus is home to its part-time program as well as an Executive MBA program. Booth also maintains overseas Executive MBA campuses in London and Singapore. The 2009-10 tuition was $49,020 per year. The school enrolls 1,185 full-time MBA students, 1,644 part-time students and 115 doctoral candidates.

Its College of Business, ranked No. 42 by U.S. News & World Report, offers full-time, part-time and Executive MBA programs. European students can earn an MBA in Illinois' Warsaw Executive MBA program in Poland. Students on the main campus can conduct research at the university's many research centers, including the Center for Business and Public Policy, the Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Golder Center for Private Equity Research. The 2009-10 tuition was $ $17,500 per year for in-state students. The school enrolls 199 full-time MBA students, 62 part-time students and 78 doctoral candidates.
