How to Get Bluetooth Ringtones from a Computer

    Download from the Internet to the Computer

    • 1). Find ringtones on the website Zedge.net. On this website, you will find lots of ringtones, which can be browsed through categories on the left side of the page or through the “New and Popular” ringtones available on the main page. Click the “Get Ringtone” button to get any ringtone.

      On the next page, click the “PC Download” button and select “Save” on the “File Download” dialog box.

    • 2). Find ringtones on the website Mobile9.com. This website requires you to select your cell phone model first, so it shows ringtones compatible with the particular cell phone model. You can select the model from the drop-down list, after which you will see a large collection of ringtones. You can select a particular category from the “Folder” drop down list.

      Click the ringtone you like. One the next page, you will see a green “Download” button. Click this button and select “Save” from the “File Download” dialog box. Save all the downloads to your desktop.

    • 3). Find ringtones on the website Mobile5.com. When you go to the website, browse through the available ringtones and select the one you want. You will see a red arrow under “DL” next to the ringtone title. Click this arrow and select “Save” on the “File Download” dialog box. Save the file on the desktop.

    Transfer through Bluetooth from Computer

    • 1). Enable Bluetooth on your cell phone and make sure it's on a discoverable mode. Although the options vary from phone to phone, you will generally find Bluetooth by going to the phone’s “Menu” > “Connectivity” > “Bluetooth” > “On” > “Discoverable.”

    • 2). Select all the ringtones you want to send from the desktop. To select multiple files, click on each icon while holding down the “Ctrl” key.

    • 3). Right-click on the selected files, and select “Send to” > “Bluetooth Device.” The computer will then start looking for Bluetooth-enabled devices, and your phone should be among those devices.

    • 4). Double-click the phone icon. Now the computer will ask you for a passkey (any four digits). You have to enter the same passkey on the phone when prompted. This will establish the connection between both the devices and the files will begin transferring.
