How to Record Hi8 Tapes to VHS
- 1). Connect the video cables to the output jacks on the Hi8 camcorder. Connect the other end of the cables to the input jacks on the VCR.
- 2). Insert the Hi8 tape into the camcorder and the blank VHS into the VCR. Set the camcorder to VTR mode. Make sure both are rewound all the way to the beginning. Turn on the television.
- 3). Press the "Record" button on the VCR and immediately press the "Play" button on the camcorder. Wait for the Hi8 movie to finish playing, watching the television to track its progress. Once the video is over, stop the VCR and camcorder.
