Multitasking

• IOS lets you multitask on your device. After you open an app, that app will remain open and continue running in the background, even after you minimize it. This makes it possible for you to work inside of an app, minimize it, and then re-open the app later on and pick up right where you left off.
  
  

Camera and Video Recording

• The iOS supports picture taking and video recording. However, the quality of the camera and video capture capability depend on which device you are using. The iPad 2 features a video graphics array camera. The fourth-generation iPod touch features a CMOS image sensor camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front. The iPhone 4 features a 5-megapixel camera on the back of the device and a VGA camera on the front.
  
  

Passcode Protection

• IOS lets users enable a passcode that encodes the information on the device to protect it from anyone who tries to steal your information. You can set up a simple passcode that is a combination of four numbers, or you can set up a complex passcode that can be a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. You can set up the passcode to be required every time someone wakes up your device from Sleep mode or after a specified period of time.
  
  

Apps

• IOS offers users more than 350,000 Apple-approved apps that can be downloaded through the iTunes Store and loaded to an Apple iOS device as of the time of publication. Apps are available that deal with a variety of subjects, including sports, medicine, weather, news, productivity and a number of other things. Some apps are free, while other have a price tag.
