Kale - How to Turn It Into a Healthy Snack
Do you ever find yourself reaching for a bag of chips to snack on and then read the nutritional label with horror after eating the whole bag? I know, I did too.
This is, until I discovered how to make kale taste like chips.
I know it may be hard to believe that leafy greens could ever resemble a potato chip but I'm here to tell you how to do just that.
Let's start with what you'll need to make this transformation:
Rub the kale down with the oil so that it's evenly and lightly coated.
Sprinkle on the sea salt and pepper.
You can also be creative and add other spices like sesame seeds or chili flakes.
Whatever tastes good to you works well.
Spread the kale out on a baking sheet and turn the oven on to 350 degrees.
Place the kale in the oven and let it cook about 10 minutes until it crisps up but be careful not to burn it.
You've successfully made kale chips! The best part about this snack is that it's loaded with calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K and contains no hydrogenated oil.
I've tried kale chips out on kids and they love them.
The only problem with getting your kids addicted is they will always be asking you to make them!
