It is weird to look around and see these kids with no respect for anyone including themselves.
I can't get over how many teens I see walking down the street with babies.
While others walk around with smokes and their pants half way down their butt.
Where did we as parents go wrong? Today it is all about pills, drugs, sex, and alcohol.
What happened to the good old days when kids went on to make something of their lives.
It is hard not to say anything but let's be honest, if I did, would it really matter to them? They don't care about anyone but themselves.
When I was young no matter what I was doing if I saw that an elder needed help with something then my friends could wait.
Just the other day I saw that a little old lady who was getting ready to go into a store as these teens were coming out and they didn't even hold the door for her.
What is wrong with kids these days? A little respect goes a long way.
I am not saying that I was perfect.
I know I had my faults, but no matter what I always had respect for people.
Especially my folks.
I knew that if I was out of line with my parents then my father was going to give me a licking.
That's the other thing.
I do agree with the fact that it should be against the law to beat your kids.
However, my parents slapped my butt from time to time if I stepped out of line and I am just fine.
We should all work together to get these kids back on the right road.
