How to Prevent Scratches on Kitchen Cabinetry
- 1). Spray the exterior of the kitchen cabinetry with wood-floor cleaner. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- 2). Apply wood paste that is either clear or the same color as the cabinetry to an edge of a soft cloth. Press the edge of the cloth against the cabinetry and spread the paste using slow, circular motions.
- 3). Let the paste dry as per the instructions provided on the packaging. Buff the paste into the surface of the cabinetry with a clean edge of the cloth, again using slow, circular motions.
- 4). Repeat the entire process on a regular basis -- every six months is adequate -- so as to prevent scratches from occurring. Buff the surface with a buffing pad when necessary to keep it looking shiny.
