Planetary Mini Mill Operating Instructions
- 1). Place the grinding media into the bowl and place the sample on top of the media. Check the seal on the lid and replace if damaged.
- 2). Check the bottom plate of where the bow will sit inside of the hood. If the cork base is damaged then replace it. Place the bowl on the base.
- 3). Place the lid on top of the bowl. Place the bell over the bowl and turn the top spindle until it is hand tight. Turn the bottom spindle until it is hand tight. The top spindle keeps the bowl in place, and the bottom spindle will keep the top spindle from shaking loose.
- 4). Repeat this process for the second bowl. If you do not require two samples to be ground, fill the bowl with media and secure it in the mill to provide balance.
- 5). Turn on the switch at the rear of the mill. Set the rotational speed in the control panel area marked rotational speed. Set the run-time in the timer area of the panel. Set the number of repetitions on the panel.
- 6). Close the hood and wait for the green light indicating the hood is locked in place. Press the start button.
