    • 1). Attach the coaxial cable from the source signal, such as satellite, cable or antenna, to the "RF IN" jack on the back of the converter box. Turn the metal nut on the end of the cable clockwise to secure it to the converter box jack.

    • 2). Use a second coaxial cable to connect from the converter box "Out to TV" jack to the threaded jack on the back of the television. On TV sets equipped with composite jacks, connect the yellow, red and white plugs on one end of the composite cables to the "AV OUT jacks" on the converter box, then plug the other ends into the "AV In" jacks on the back of the TV. Match the colors on the plugs to the jacks.

    • 3). Turn on the converter box and the TV.

    • 4). Press the "Input" button on the TV repeatedly until the signal from the converter box appears on screen.

    • 5). Press the "Auto-Tune" or "Scan" button on the converter box, depending on the model, to program the box with all available channels from the signal source.

    • 6). Use the remote control that comes with the converter box to change channels. The TV remote control may be used to adjust all other picture and sound settings.
