How to Transfer a Word Document From a Computer to a BlackBerry
- 1). Connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB cable that came with the phone. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Click on "Media."
- 2). Under Media Manager, click "Start." Wait for the Media Manager software to load and connect to your device. Under "Devices" on the left side, click on "View Connected Devices" and wait for the next screen to load.
- 3). On the top left just above "My Media," click on the yellow folder and again wait for it to load. This should only take a few seconds. Under "Folders," locate and select the folder where your document is stored. Under "My Devices," select the folder you want the file to be transferred to. If you need a new folder you can click the yellow folder icon with the orange star in the top right corner of the "My Devices" box.
- 4). Under "Downloads" on the right side of the screen, select your file. Click the "Copy Down" button at the bottom of the "Downloads" box. A pop-up box will appear with selections for you to choose to convert the document or copy with no conversion.
- 5). Select the option that suits your needs best and click "OK." The document(s) will be moved to the destination folder you selected on your BlackBerry phone and are now ready for use.
