Beef and Bulgur

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2poundsround steak or top round roast, trimmed and cut in strips about 3/4-inch thick
  • 1cup chopped onions
  • 2carrots, sliced thinly
  • 1cup beef broth, from base or canned
  • 1/4cup red wine
  • 1cup bulgur
  • salt and pepper, to taste


Preparation

Layer vegetables in Crock Pot; add beef strips to the pot. Pour broth and wine over all and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Add bulgur and cook on high until bulgur is tender, adding a little more broth or water if necessary.
