How to Eat on China Dishes
- 1). Set out your large china plates for your main course. Set out small plates for side dishes.
- 2). Put food on the appropriate plate. Duck, fish and other meat-based entrees typically go on the larger plates. China is exclusively for fine dining, so be selective when using these dishes. Sides like salad, fruit and vegetables are good dishes for smaller china. Sides like macaroni, beans and french fries are not appropriate foods for china eating.
- 3). Enjoy the food. Make sure to be careful not to scrape the china with a fork or knife, though.
- 4). Lightly wash china in the dish washer or hand wash them. This will prevent damaging.
