Magnetism and Bean Seed Germination
- 1). Glue five round, ceramic magnets in a vertical line on either side of your gallon jar. Make sure the north side of each magnet points toward the inside of the jar. Fill the jar with water and place it in the fridge for about 24 hours. The north magnetic poles create negative ions that split up the water molecules into smaller clusters.
- 2). Fill a small terra cotta pot with rich potting soil to about ½ inch below the rim. Poke up to three holes into the soil with your finger and drop a bean seed into each. Cover the seeds with soil. Place the pot on the flood tray in a sunny area.
- 3). Gently work two bar magnets into the soil at the edges of your pot; bury the south pole of one magnet and the north pole of the other. This creates an even electromagnetic field both above and below the soil.
- 4). Water your seeds with ¼ cup of magnetized water. Water the plants as necessary or every three days. Your plants should grow tall, strong and healthy.
