The Specifications of Sony Trinitron KV-20VM30 CRT TVs
- The Sony KV-20VM30 CRT TV set is almost a perfect cube in that it measures 20.5 inches wide and tall and 18.6 inches deep. Like most CRT televisions, it is relatively heavy at 58 lbs., or 66.1 lbs. when its accessories and packaging materials are included. When operating, this Trinitron television consumes 108 watts of regular 120-volt, 60-hertz, American-standard wall power.
- Sony builds the KV-20VM30 with a 21-inch picture tube, measured diagonally, which has a 20-inch viewable area, also measured diagonally. This tube has a traditional aspect ratio and is not widescreen, and it is mated to an American-standard NTSC tuner that can receive VHF channels 2 to 13, UHF channels 14 to 69 and cable channels 1 to 125.
- The VCR built into the KV-20VM30 features a four-head design for special-effects performance. It can fast-forward or rewind a T-120 videotape in 4 minutes and 30 seconds, and it runs at 33 mm per second in standard play mode or 11 mm per second in extended play mode. In EP mode, it can record as much as 8 hours of video on a T-160 tape.
- Although Sony Trinitron KV-20VM30 CRT TVs are designed to be one-box entertainment devices, they nevertheless have multiple inputs, allowing you to use them with external video components. They have a standard antenna or cable input that accepts a 75 ohm coaxial connection carrying signal from a set-top antenna, rooftop antenna or unscrambled analog cable provider. They also have a pair of composite video inputs that you can use to attach a camcorder, video game system or other components. One is located in the rear and, for easy attachment, one is located in the front. Both inputs have dual-phono jack connectors for video and monophonic audio.
