    • 1). Plant the Aristolochia littoralis plant in rich, humus soil in the shade near a wall or along a trellis so the vine can continue to grow upward.

    • 2). Water once the soil becomes dry several inches deep. Drench the soil thoroughly, but slowly, with a hose to prevent root diseases.

    • 3). Apply a water-soluble fertilizer every other week during the growing season. Follow the manufacturer's label for mixing and application directions.

    • 4). Spread a 3-inch layer of mulch around the Aristolochia littoralis vine avoiding a placing it around the stem of the plant. This will keep the soil moist and ward off weeds.
