I stumbled upon the glycerin base soap when I suffered from a severe skin infection that I can no longer use commercially-made soaps.
I realized that the chemicals being used in making these soaps can actually dry out my skin and even worsen my skin condition.
Some of these chemicals used in commercially made soaps are: sodium sterate, potassium sterate, sodium tallowate and sodium palmate.
These soap making ingredients are not derived from natural materials.
And because more and more people are becoming aware of the bad side effects of these ingredients on their skin, people shifted to use a natural soap.
This is the reason why soap making business have become popular and to some even lucrative money making venture.
This is also the reason why I have become passionate about helping others, who have just been recently introduced to this endeavor.

Some will probably not have the time to make their own soaps so they will still prefer to continue using their commercial brands.
