Pioneer Radio Installation Directions
- 1). Gather the stereo wiring in the back of the vacant stereo mounting dock. Plug the stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads. For GM vehicles, plug the antenna cable into the GM antenna adapter cable.
- 2). Slide the installation sleeve into the stereo dock. Fold the two metal tabs on the inside of the sleeve with a flat screwdriver to secure it within the vehicle's stereo dock. Pull the stereo wiring (with wiring harness adapter connected) and antenna cable (adapter for GM vehicles) through to the front of the vehicle's stereo dock.
- 3). Plug the wiring harness adapter connectors into the outlets on the left side of the Pioneer deck's rear panel. Plug the antenna cable into the outlet on the lower right corner of the stereo's rear panel. The antenna outlet is labeled "FM ANT."
- 4). Slide the stereo unit into the installation sleeve until it locks into place. Replace any panels that were displaced to remove the factory stereo. Consult your vehicle's repair manual for instructions. Move to the vehicle's battery.
- 5). Place the grounding cable clamp back onto the negative battery terminal. Tighten the cable's clamp to the terminal with the wrench. Close the hood.
