    • 1). Loop a piece of the ribbon into the desired size for one of the bow loops. Multiply this measurement by four and cut the piece of ribbon to that length.

    • 2). Create a loop--in the same size as in the first step--at the end of the piece of ribbon. Take the remaining ribbon and make a second loop on the opposite side of the first one, and in the same size.

    • 3). Cross the ribbon over the center of the first two loops and create a third loop on the same side as the first loop. Keep the third loop the same size and slightly below the first loop.

    • 4). Cross the remaining length of ribbon over the center of the loops and make a fourth loop, this time on the same side as the second loop and slightly below it.

    • 5). Pinch the center of the bow with your fingers. Wrap a piece of floral wire around the center of the bow tightly, then twist the ends to close the wire. Snip off the excess wire, then trim the ribbon ends at an angle or short enough so they are hidden beneath the loops.

    • 6). Cut a short length of ribbon. Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the center of the hair bow over the floral wire, then wrap the length of ribbon around the center of the bow. Turn the bow over, wrap the ribbon around the back and hot-glue it into place. Trim the excess ribbon.

    • 7). Squeeze a line of hot glue over the top of a craft barrette or an old barrette with a flat top. Press the bow right-side up over the barrette and hold it in place for about 30 seconds, or until the glue dries.
