How To Change the LX200 Button Battery
- 1). Remove the four Phillips screws from the front of the power panel with a Phillips screwdriver. Set the screws in a small plastic container.
- 2). Pull the power panel from the from the drive base with your hands. Move slowly to avoid damaging the cable connection between the power panel and the drive base. Squeeze the sides of the cable connection. Pull the cable away from the connector.
- 3). Slide the end of a small flathead screwdriver under the battery. Push the handle of the screwdriver toward the power panel. Pull the loosened battery from its housing.
- 4). Insert a new 3-volt replacement battery into the housing with the negative side of the battery facing toward the power panel circuit board.
- 5). Push the cable connection onto the power panel connector.
- 6). Set the power panel into the drive base. Secure the power panel with the screws temporarily stored in the small plastic container.
