How do I Upgrade a 130 Tomtom?
- 1). Research the different upgrade options available for your TomTom One 130 S. You can get a free map upgrade within 30 days of purchasing your device, or you can purchase a map upgrade through the TomTom website.
- 2). Visit the "Latest Map Guarantee" page, located in the Resource section below, if you're eligible for a free upgrade.
- 3). Click "Download HOME." The HOME program will need to be installed.
- 4). Use the USB cable that came with your TomTom One 130 S to connect it to your computer. The smaller end, or mini-USB, goes in your GPS device. If a free map upgrade is available, it will download onto your TomTom One 130 S automatically. All you need to do is accept the software agreement when prompted.
- 5). Visit the "Download HOME" page, located in the Resource section below, if you would like to purchase a map upgrade. Remember, you need to install the HOME program before continuing.
- 6). Browse your map upgrade options from the TomTom website. You can purchase a single upgrade, or you can purchase a bundle, such as four map upgrades per year for one set price.
- 7). Click "Join TomTom Map Update Service" to purchase an upgrade for your TomTom One 130 S. Once you purchase the service, you will be able to check back periodically to see if upgrades are available. When an upgrade is available, you can connect your TomTom One 130 S to your computer to download it.
