How to Hard Boil Eggs in Less Than Fifteen Minutes
- 1). Place the raw egg in the pan. Fill the pan with enough cool water to cover the egg by 1 inch.
- 2). Turn the stove burner on medium high. When the water comes to a rolling boil, turn the burner off. Cover the pan with a lid or plate.
- 3). After 10 minutes, remove the lid from the pan. Pour out the water and run cold water over the egg until the outside is cool to the touch.
- 4). Tap both ends of the egg against the counter, then roll the egg on the counter with enough pressure to finely crack the shell. Under running water, swipe away the shell with your fingers.
