How to Create Watermarks for Business Cards

    • 1). Go to "Start" and click "All Programs." Click on "Microsoft Office" and open Microsoft Office Word.

    • 2). Click on the round Microsoft Office button and open your existing file. If you do not have an existing file, click on the Microsoft Office button and select "New." A list of available templates will be listed in the "Templates" pane. Click on the "Business Cards" link, and double-click on your preferred business card template. Edit the text in your business card template.

    • 3). Click on the "Page Layout" toolbar tab. Next, click on the "Watermark" icon, which is located in the "Page Background" section on the toolbar.

    • 4). Click on the "Custom Watermark" option to open the "Printed Watermark" window.

    • 5). Check the box next to "Picture watermark" to use a graphic as your watermark. Click on the "Select Picture" button, choose a digital image on your computer, and click "Insert."

    • 6). Check the box next to "Text watermark" to use custom text for your watermark. Click inside the "Text" field and type your personal message. You can also change the style, color and size of your text by using the font drop-down menus.

    • 7). Check the box next to "Diagonal" or "Horizontal" to position your watermark design. Click the "Apply" button to save your changes, and then click "Close."
