How to Online Date: Top 6 Mistakes Guys Make in Online Dating
There are a few mistakes i keep seeing guys make in online dating, so I figured I would write a list of the top 6 mistakes that you should do your best to avoid.
1) Not having a picture.
This is not something I see this often, but it is by far the biggest one anyone can ever make so figured I would put it up here.
If you do not have a picture then no girl is ever going to click on your profile to read about you, no matter how fantastic you are.
2) Not sending enough messages.
Many guys look through hundreds of profiles trying to find that one special girl.
Then they send her a message and go around for days, weeks or even longer waiting for a reply before they move on.
Or even if they get a reply they just stick with this 1 girl until it pans out.
One of the best things about Online Dating is that it has so many options.
So you should try not to limit yourself.
Keep in mind that it is pretty hard to get through all of your personality in an online profile, so even if a girl might not seen that interesting to you when you read her profile.
She might be a perfect match when you meet up.
3) Sending too many messages.
Though there is no max amount of messages you can send out, one thing you should avoid is just writing a couple of sentences like "Hey girl whats up liked your profile so thought id send you a message" and then copy pasting it to every girl on the site.
One of the best ways to incite a response from a girl is to comment on something in her profile.
So read it, and point out something about her that you find interesting\funny.
4) A badly written profile.
You should at all costs avoid having grammatical errors or spelling mistakes in your profile.
As it does not reflect good on you in any way and it is pretty easy to avoid.
Most dating sites (and web browsers) have a built in auto correct so it should not be hard to avoid.
5) Not standing out.
If you are one of 1000 guys writing exactly the same in your profile and having the exact same profile picture, then the chance of success is pretty low.
Most girls would like to have someone that stand out, in whatever way that is.
So Make your pictures and profiles different.

There are literally thousands of dating sites out there.
And you should not be afraid to try out a few to find out what is right for you.
Obviously if a 21 year old guy is on a dating site for seniors, or if you are on a site localized to another country or continent then what you live in, then that is obviously not a good idea.
Even if a site is supposed to be world wide or whatever, as most of the bigger sites are, the amount of people\type of people on the site will vary.
