Bushel of Painted Pumpkins
Check out this photo of a bushel of tiny painted pumpkins, submitted by Karen Futtner.
"This picture was taken in October of 1968. My husband and I had a roadside stand in Connecticut, and I painted all sizes of pumpkins and small gourds with faces, a unique sight at that time. We sold thousands of these each year attracting people from as far away as New Hampshire. Now, looking back 39 years, I'm reminded that even upon arrival home from the hospital with my new baby boy, I had to step between two bushels of these pumpkin gourds before finding a moment to apply their smiling faces." ~ Karen
After you carve or decorate your pumpkin, take a moment to snap a picture of it and then submit it.
