How to Spot Fake Timberland Clothing

    • 1). Check to see if there is a barcode on the tag. Real Timberland shoes never come with a barcode attached to the tag, so if you see one, you know they are fakes.

    • 2). Be wary of items that claim to be one-of-a-kind or unique. Because Timberland is such a large company with factories in many countries, none of their items should be unique. If you have never seen it before and you cannot find it on their website, it is probably not a real Timberland item.

    • 3). Avoid items that look poorly made or as if they are manufactured from low-quality materials. Timberland boots are genuine leather and their clothing is made from high-quality material, so their items should reflect that.

    • 4). Avoid items with a style number of 10061 unless they are the standard Timberland plain yellow boots. Because these are their most famous item, forgers will often use this style number, no matter what the item is, to try and lend it authenticity.

    • 5). Look for a Timberland tag inside your clothing. All Timberland items should have a tag inside with the company name.
