    • 1). Cut a 4-foot strand of beading thread. Run the cut strand through the beading wax. Insert one end of the waxed thread through a size 11 beading needle 16 inches. The 16-inch thread is the tail thread; the longer section is the working thread. As you make the bracelet, the tail thread will work into the working thread.

    • 2). Thread one size 10 seed bead over the needle and down the working thread to within 1 inch of the end. Loop the needle around and through the seed bead three times to anchor it in place at the end of the working thread.

    • 3). Thread the following bead pattern onto the working thread, down to the anchor bead: one size 10 seed bead, one 3mm bicone bead, two size 10 seed beads, one 3mm bicone bead, two size 10 seed beads, one 3mm bicone bead.

    • 4). Insert the needle up through the anchor bead, Pull the thread taut to form a circle with the beads.

    • 5). Thread one 3mm bicone bead and two size 10 seed beads onto the working thread and down to the beaded circle. Skip the first two beads in the circle after the anchor bead and insert the needle through the third bead in the circle. Pull the thread taut. The two beads added in this step should rest on top of the circle beads. The spiral pattern is beginning to take shape.

    • 6). Thread one 3mm bicone bead and two size 10 seed beads to the end of the working thread. Skip over the next two beads in the circle. Insert the needle through the third bead in the circle away from the bead the needle and thread is exiting. Pull the thread taut.

    • 7). Thread one 3mm bead and two size 10 seed beads to the end of the working thread. Skip the next two beads on the circle from the bead the needle and thread are exiting. Pass the needle through the next three beads which include the last two beads on first circle and the first 3mm bead added in Step 5. This is the beginning of a new circle.

    • 8). Repeat Steps 5, 6 and 7 to make the Russian spiral bracelet strand as long as you like. End the strand by wrapping the needle and thread through one 3mm crystal and one section of a clasp. Pass the needle back through the 3mm crystal and one size 10 seed bead on the bracelet design. Pull the thread taut. Insert the needle back up through the last 3mm bicone, around the clasp and back down through the 3mm bicone and seed bead. Finish by working the needle and thread back down through the bracelet design.

    • 9). Thread the size 11 needle with 1 foot of waxed thread. Insert the needle through the anchor bead on the bracelet strand. Leave a 4-inch thread tail extending from the bead. Thread a 3mm bicone over the needle to the bracelet. Thread the remaining section of clasp over the needle and down to the bracelet. Pass the needle back down into the 3mm bicone and the anchor bead. Tie the working thread to the tail thread with a square knot. Cover the knot with clear glue.
