How to Back Up Music From an iPod Touch to a Computer
- 1). Launch iTunes on your computer.
- 2). Connect your iPod Touch to a USB port on your computer with the USB cable.
- 3). Click "File" from the iTunes application menu.
- 4). Click "Transfer Purchases." The songs that you purchased and downloaded directly to your iPod Touch via Wi-Fi will copy to your computer. Click "Purchased on (name) iPod" under "Store" in the left pane of the iTunes window to see the songs that you backed up.
- 5). Click the Eject button next to the icon of your iPod Touch under "Devices" in the left pane of the iTunes window, and then disconnect your iPod from the computer.
