How to Make Baggies
- 1). Cut your fabric into an 8-by-18-inch rectangle. Create a hem by folding over the 18-inch sides of the fabric to the back of the fabric twice by a ¼-inch. Sew the hem in place.
- 2). Fold the short ends of the fabric over the back ¼ inch and then again one inch to create a tube-like flap on each end of the rectangle. Sew the hem to hold.
- 3). Fold the rectangle in half lengthwise with the right sides facing in. Sew down the two sides of the fabric starting at the bottom of the bag (where the fold is) and sewing until you reach the stitching line from the hem in Step Two.
- 4). Turn the baggie right side out through the opening in the top. Set your bag down with the two tube-like flaps at the top.
- 5). Run one length of cording from the left to the right through the back tube-like flap. Turn the cording at the end of the back flap and run it from right to left through the front tube-like flap, similar to a U shape. Tie the ends together where they meet on the left of the bag, leaving three to four inch long tails hanging down the side.
- 6). Run the second length of cording from right to left through the back tube and loop it around to come back from left to right through the front flap. Tie the ends together on the right of the bag. Pull the two tied ends away from one another to draw the baggie closed.
