You Can"t Make Money If You"re Making This Mistake
Every single one of us wants to make money.
In fact, who doesn't? Are you wondering why your colleague is making so much money? Why is it that things just don't seem to be working for you? How about why you just don't have the connections like your colleague does? Why is he so lucky? Could you be making the mistake that is preventing you from making money? Many people are making this mistake and the worst thing is, they don't even know about it! They don't know that when they this mistake, they're sabotaging themselves! They don't know that they've single handedly destroyed whatever future they might have because they made this mistake! Let me give you an example to illustrate.
A district in a certain established insurance company has a weekly meeting.
What happens during this meeting is that each and every single agent would come up and report their productions for the past week.
They would also share how they got the result and why they got their result.
One of them, let's call him Adam, comes up and reports his figures to the district.
His results were fantastic.
He says that he made use of the promotions by the company and got some leads; he followed up on the leads and managed to close the sale! He goes on to say that he has been following up on the prospect for the past 3 weeks and he was ecstatic that he was finally able to close the deal! Another guy then comes up to share, Ben.
His results weren't that fantastic but he still had to share how and why he got his result.
What he said was that he wasn't able to close the big deal that he had been working on because the prospect had no time to meet up with him.
The prospect postponed at the last minute when Ben was on his way to meet with him.
Ben also said that as he was very busy, he didn't have time to give the prospect a call to remind him of the meeting.
Ben said that if the prospect was able to meet up with him, he would have been able to close a deal - if only the prospect hadn't postponed! He then continues to say that maybe he'll give a call to the prospect a week later because the prospect's very busy and he doesn't want to give a bad impression.
What did Adam do right to net him his deal? What was the mistake that Ben did that cost him the sale? Adam was making money and Ben was making excuses.
If you have made this mistake of making excuses for everything, you are destroying your own future.
Ask yourself and find out what you really want.
Do you want to make money? Or do you want to make excuses? Stop making excuses and start making it happen.
Some people make excuses and some people make money.
You cannot make both.
